I'm Ali, the founder of Inspired Styling
After studying Textiles & Fashion and then graduating from University of the Arts London, I enjoyed a successful marketing career. When I was made redundant, I lost my identity in many ways. My wardrobe was a jumble of sale bargains and outfits from my pre-kids days. I received a colour analysis as a gift, and I was hooked! I rediscovered my love of dressing to make myself feel good and wanted to others to experience this joy too. Reinvigorated by a confident new lease of life, I researched day and night to learn my craft. I launched Inspired Styling and the rest is history!
Today, my personalised online services help women across the UK feel amazing in what they wear every day. I also offer in-person image consultations in the London and Surrey areas.
Biggest fashion moment?
Making my own wedding dress (with the help of my talented Mum).
Worst styling disaster?
Going bleach-blonde in my teens. It looked awful with my colouring!
Favourite clothing colours?
Dusky pinks and pale olive greens. Perfect for a Muted Autumn like me.
Patterns or plain?
I’m a big leopard print fan. It’s timeless and surprisingly easy to co-ordinate with.
Favourite look?
Dresses and skirts are my go-to. Comfy, and looks like I’ve made an effort!

Pragmatic
Whilst it’s fun to hit the shops, I’m also mindful of sustainable choices and spending wisely. I advise clients to ‘shop’ their own wardrobes, have clothes altered and buy pre-loved. My simplest recommendations include experimenting with accessories and how to style existing pieces.
